A MNHS Membership is the Best Deal in History
Our country has experienced turbulent times before, and the new WWI Exhibit, opening in April at the Minnesota History Center, will help you show the Grands the many ways that we have survived and thrived. There is a new child-focused slant to exhibits and activities – you can even watch artist, David Geister, create a giant mural of 100 key individuals who played a part in the making of post WWI America (April 8 1-4pm, April 11 6-8pm, April 22 1-4pm, and April 25 6-8pm) for the launch of the exhibit. Kids can experience the awesome power of a Minnesota tornado, climb into a real WWII plane or a railroad boxcar, and more. There are special programs on school breaks, Family Days, and fun shopping at the museum store. Family Sundays are themed (February 26th is Valentines Then; Valentines Now). Membership grants you discounts and free regular admission to 26 historic sites and museums. There are lots of special programs and even summer camp offerings.
The History Center is closed Mondays, but open on Holiday Mondays when you might be looking for fun. They offer free admission on Tuesdays from 3-8pm.
