Heartfelt "Hearts" and Crafts Shop
So maybe you really want to be the grandma that makes stuff, but the idea of laying in supplies, and worry about whether the creating will be a successful experience is more than you can manage at the moment. Heartfelt in the Linden Hills neighborhood of Southwest Minneapolis is just the place for you! The warm, cozy space is designed for drop-in crafting, of mostly natural ingredients, and lots of inspiration.
OFFERINGS
They have classes for specific projects or techniques, monthly preschool festivals, birthday parties, and custom evening adult gatherings. There is a monthly list of drop-in projects – October’s list included a spell-casting magic wand, spooky landscape, witchy peg doll, pine cone owl, felted pumpkins and acorns, painted wooden bead necklace, and a fall leaf mobile, and more. A new selection hatches this week!
There are unusual gifts and kits, long tables for crafting, and a fab tree for the littles to play in while you might be finishing up a project with another child.
PRESCHOOL FESTIVALS
Celebrate the seasons with monthly gatherings for preschool families (September thru May) - children 2-1/2 and older with a grown-up. All ages are welcome. $18; $10 for each additional child per family. There are usually two planned projects and a snack, 10:30-11:45am. Please register in advance by calling 612-877-8090. BIRTHDAYS
Heartfelt birthday parties have custom elements with unique crafts, face painting, and activities to help celebrate your child’s special day. Birthdays are offered weekdays after school, on school release days, and Saturdays at 10:30 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. They are happy to meet with you and your grandchild to discuss and recommend activities, and show you samples of the various craft options. Parties are priced according to the number of participants – a small group here would feel really special!
LADIES NIGHT!
Crafting is calming – with the right ingredients and atmosphere, you can find relaxation and happiness by making something. Weekend and weekday evenings are available for a private adult party or team-building workshop. $35 per person fee covers all materials and instruction, and the use of kitchen items. Parties last two hours with start times between 5-7pm and there is a six-person minimum. You are welcome to bring any snacks, sweets and beverages. They have plates, forks, glasses, napkins and a tea kettle. And they handle all the clean up!
