Instant Chocolate Shell Topping

A chocolate sauce that hardens on contact just like we remember! The Grands will love it too! In fact, it makes a grand excuse for an ice cream party. Don't forget the sprinkles!

2 C semisweet chocolate chips

2/3 C Coconut oil (don't substitute for the best crackle effect!)

Combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl; heat in microwave in 30-second intervals, mixing well each time, until mixture is smooth, 1 to 2 minutes. Store at room temperature in an air-tight container. Add more oil for thinner, crispier hard shell and less for a thicker hard shell. (AllRecipes.com)

And, as long as we are having a party, The Barefoot Contessa has an easy way to do fruit topping. I've used this on cheesecakes and shortcakes as well. No fuss and fabulous!

1 C red (raspberry, current, etc) jelly (not jam!)

1/2 pint strawberries sliced

1/2 pint raspberries

1/2 pint blueberries

Melt jelly in a saucepan over low heat. Add berries to warm melted jelly and stir. That's it! Please pass the whipped cream!
