Experience Crayola Fun @ MOA

A GREAT GRANDYCAMP DEAL!

Snow and cold came early to Minnesota this year, so we will be searching for different kinds of fun to make these Winter months bearable. The Crayola Experience offers hours of fun, and allows, with a hand stamp, for you to come and go to enjoy a full day at the Mall of America. And your GrandyCamp news subscription takes the price of your visit from $19.99/per person to $13.99/per person (Under3 are free). You also receive a discount for Sea Life by joining (also on the East end), so that adds up to a big day of fun for you and the Grands!

EXPERIENCE THE FUN

There are 25 exhibits at Crayola in 60,000 square ft. of colorful space. Some favorites are, of course, the name and wrap your own crayon in Wrap It Up, Art Alive, where you create digital art and project them onto the wall – touching the drawing brings it to life like the fish swimming in a projected underwater seascape. The Grands can melt crayons and mold them into something else, create with modelling clay, create their own puzzles, color on walls, and take a break in a two-story crayon-shaped playground with a separate toddler area, and Doodle in the Dark with interactive glow in the dark fun. There is even a Colossal Crayon Caddy to just have a sit and color time out with the biggest selection of colors you’ve ever seen.  There is a Café for snacks or lunch, but you can also use your hand stamp to lunch at other MOA restaurants and come back. More exhibit details on the website but be sure to order your tickets through your direct GrandyCamp link.

MAKING A PLAN

This is a popular place, so Mondays or midweek naptimes might be the best choices for Grandparents to enjoy it as much as the kids – shorter lines for the activities as well. Hours vary by time of the year, so check their calendar when making your plan. For the closest MOA access, park in the EAST Ramp, on the “Florida” level. Crayola Experience is located on the third floor of the Southeast corner of the mall. MOA parking is free. Or take the light rail! And have yourself a Grand time!
